Here’s a new tax change to be aware of. Prior to Here’s a new tax change to be aware of. Prior to this year, you were only issued a 1099k if you received more than $20,000 and 200 transactions through Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, etc. As of 2022, you will receive a 1099k if you receive more than $600 in payments through any of the payment platforms. Once you receive a 1099k, it has to be reported on your tax return. This affects a lot of side hustles, eBay sellers, flea market vendors, and other hobbyists. Moving forward, be careful taking Venmo instead of cash as payment for your product or service. To help ease the worry and burden, you could always hire a tax professional, like ourselves, to prepare your taxes 😉 #amoreaccounting #2022taxseason #amoretax #taxchanges #supportsmallbusiness #altsocialmarketing
